  • Expert Faculty: Highly qualified and experienced faculty members with diverse specializations in zoology.
  • Research Opportunities: Strong emphasis on research, with access to laboratories and field study sites.
  • Curriculum Diversity: A comprehensive curriculum that includes various aspects of zoology, including Gentic, Entomology, ecology, physiology, and conservation.
  • Collaboration: Partnerships with forest and  wildlife organizations, research institutions, ZSI, Savitribai Phule Pune University and St.Lawarence university, and conservation bodies.
  • Student Engagement: Active Zoodesk and Zoocarnival student clubs and societies focused on zoology and wildlife conservation.
  •  The department has sophisticated instruments viz. Leica Microtome, inverted microscope, Sonicator, Cooling centrifuge (5000 to 30000 rpm), PCR instrument, Automatic tissue processor, Microphotography unit and laminar airflowetc.
