STATUTORY DECLARATION ON RTI ACT
The Right to Information Act, 2005 (22 of 2005) has been enacted by the Parliament and has come into force from 15 June, 2005. This Act provides for right to information for citizens to secure access to information under the control of public authorities in order to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority. According to UGC guidelines all Universities and Colleges established by law made by Parliament or by State Legislature or by notification by the appropriate Government or owned, controlled or substantially financed directly or indirectly by funds provided by the Government shall come within the purview of a Public Authority under this Act. Hence K. R. T. Arts, B.H. Commerce and A. M. Science (K.T.H.M.) College, Nashik, Section 4(1) (b) of RTI Act 2005 is applicable for College. The statutory declaration is displayed on College website.
Our college is a “College of co-education” which is registered under Society Act by Govt. of Maharashtra. The College has a Governing Body which runs as per rules and regulations made by the Govt. of Maharashtra from time to time.
The College has established the statutory bodies and various committees and cells which come under section 4(1) (b) of RTI Act 2005. The applications under the RTI Act along with a postal order/demand draft for Rs.10/- obtained in favor of Principal, K. R. T. Arts, B.H. Commerce and A. M. Science (K.T.H.M.) College, Nashik may be sent to the Public Information Officer (PIO) or handed over in his office. All the information about the college under section 4(1)(b) of RTI Act 2005 is available for the public and it can be obtained by any citizen of India. K. R. T. Arts, B.H. Commerce and A. M. Science (K.T.H.M.) College, Nashik, Maharashtra along with the required fee of Rs.10/-. Copies of documents will be charged according to the rate fixed by the State Information Commission, Maharashtra
If the reply is not received in time or if the information is not given, you can tender appeal to the First Appellate Authority, of our College.
About RTI Act-2005
In order to promote more transparency and accountability in every public organization, The Right to Information Act, 2005 (22 of 2005) has been enacted by the Parliament and has come into force from 15 June 2005. The Act applies to all States and Union Territories of India, except the State of Jammu and Kashmir. According to this act, any citizen may request information from a public authority. This Act provides the right to information for citizens for secure access to information under public authorities. All Universities and Colleges established by law made by Parliament or by State Legislature or by notification by the appropriate Government or owned, controlled, or substantially financed directly or indirectly by funds provided by the Government shall come within the meaning of a Public Authority under this Act.
As per the RTI Act, Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj’s KRT Arts, BH Commerce and AM Science (K.T.H.M.) College, Nashik has constituted a committee which is responsible for the dissemination of the information concerned with the college and conduct various activities to the public request via proper channels.
In pursuance of the Right to Information Act 2005, an officer has been designated as Public Information Officer (PIO) and he/she shall perform the duties and responsibilities as envisaged under the act without fail. Necessary steps for implementation of various provisions including proactive disclosure of certain kinds of information. Such information shall be made available to the public at large through the website. Rates for obtaining copies, printouts, models, etc of documents are mentioned in the RTI Act.

Application Procedure
Citizens can seek information regarding the activities of KRT Arts, BH Commerce and AM Science (K.T.H.M.) College, Nashik, by submitting a written request with details like name, address, contact number and particulars of the information sought. The reason for seeking information need not be given.
