INTRODUCTION:
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has launched a scheme on skills development based higher education as part of college/university education, leading to Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) Degree with multiple exits such as Diploma/Advanced Diploma under the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF). The B.Voc. programme is focused on Universities and Colleges providing undergraduate studies which would also incorporate specific job roles and their NOSs along with broad based general education. This would enable the graduates completing B.Voc. to make a meaningful participation in accelerating India’s economy by gaining appropriate employment, becoming entrepreneurs and creating appropriate knowledge.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE COURSE:
B.Voc. course is introduced with an aim to incorporate requirements of various industries into its curriculum. The course helps ensure students have adequate skills, make them work ready, enhance employability of graduates, and thus make them part of global workforce. The curriculum offers a unique blend of vocational and business management concepts. Field visits, internships, guest lectures from industry experts, experimental learning are some of the highlights of this curriculum.
Direct-Indirect Taxation Course has wide application in various fields like Financial Accountancy, Cost Accountancy, Management Accountancy, Direct Taxation, Indirect taxation, Corporate Laws, etc. Online portal based services are also emerging scope in this field. It involves knowledge and several technical skills of various taxation, Laws, Accounting, Management Assisstance, Communication skills and many more.
DURATION OF THE COURSE:
The duration of the B.Voc. Course is of 3 years.
ELIGIBILITY:
The eligibility condition for admission to B.Voc. Programme shall be 10+2 or equivalent in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science, MCVC and ITI) from any recognized board or university.
