In Democracy it is not simply enough to inform voters about election dates. In order to help the electorates take an informed decision , it is quintessential to sensitive them bout the importance of participating in the electoral process. Voters need to be educated about the process and made aware of political issues, parties, their manifestos, and armed with several other information. This need was fulfilled by department of political science of K.T.H.M. College, Nashik. Role of the media also explained here by department. |

Elocution Competition for the Blind-Student ( Sub: Indian constitution) |
Maratha vidya prasarak Samaj’ the premier institution is becoming the instrument of social changes. Taking one more step towards social changes an education competition was held for the blind students. Subject had a great concern with political awareness, it was ‘Indian constitutions’. During the literary meet on 1st of January 2016, it was resolved that the MVP will voluteer to organize such competitions every year as for as possible to inculcate among the student. A visit to Gramsabha (Girnare) |
K.T.H.M. College, which has been working as a social performance for so many years, it also act as medieter between the surrounding and students. Taking one more initiative regarding in this field too, a departmental visit was arranged for a small visit at Gramsabha on 2nd of October 2014 This visit meant a lot for students as well as village first and formost helped to refresh every ones mind a part forms every days busy schedule. Activities organized by Azad Group for orphan kids |
K.T.H.M. college has always been a ideal for its social activities as well as for its social awareness. It also tends to help the needs in some or the other way. This fact was observed when Azad Group of political department helped the orphan kids by gifting them books , pens and useful stationary. Members of Azad Group were to Jai Anand Orphan House. Rushikesh Kalewar, Rameshwar Murtadak. Amol Padekar and team enjoyed the whole with the kids helped them to attach their sentiments with them to attach their sentiments with them.

Idea and title of Innovative practice
1) Awareness of “Human Right” Programme

Human right is most important to every person because Human right is not only a fundamental rights but also natural right. United nation excepted importance of Human rights. So UNO declared world Human right Day, on 10 Dec. 1948. Every government give protection to human rights. Indian Government also established Human rights council in 1993.

2) Rajmata Jijabai Jayanti Programme.
Political Science department of K.T.H.M college celebrated rajmata Jijau jayanti and Swami vivekanand Jayanti on 12th January,2016. Rajmata Jijau and Swami Vivekanand are one of the inspiring and Ideal person. Their thought always inspired us. In Programme some Student’s speeches about Jijaumata life and some speeches about Swami Vivekanand.
